Neverborn Death-Thanos has always understood his role in the universe--to keep balance and order. Indeed, Death had done so quite contentedly for centuries, that is, until the day he spies beautiful island noblewoman Persephone Christos while going about his duties.
Death-Thanos is captured not only by her loveliness but her dark manner. Seems she has a penchant for visiting graveyards and sites of death. Her reasoning is simple. She stares at death to underscore the beauty of life.
Ah, Persephone seems perfect for him, but alas, there is one catch.
Death cannot consort with the living or take a soul before their allotted time, as to do so could threaten the very balance of nature and unravel existence itself.
Obsessed with thoughts of his forbidden love, Death-Thanos turns to his nephew Morpheus, who is able to concoct a sleep spell that allows the god to be with his beloved without breaking universal laws.
New catch--Persephone is not going to go quietly into that good night...
