  BIOGRAPHY

  Hykine Johnson

  Writer, actor, producer, director and mentor, born Hykine Johnson, was raised in Newark, New Jersey. He attended Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, NJ and studied to become a lawyer. Yet his first love, the gift of writing would continue on. Hykine found a love for poetry at a young age that grew with him as he matured. One of four children, he had a difficult childhood. His mother’s addiction to drugs and fathers absence due to being in and out of prison, would guide him to write about his pain, neglect, and things that eventually would cause him to detour his original path. A fatal car accident caused the writer to be wheelchair bound with two broken legs and built up anger from the advice of Dr’s that perceived he’d never walk again. Hykine was able to overcome this battle and able to stand strong on his own 2 feet, but the mindset of what he was up against didn’t sit well. Somehow, he would find himself in a Federal Detention Center forcing him to reflect on how he ended up “in there” to begin with. The talented novelist used his time away to broaden his horizons and to pave a better way by expressing his experiences in hopes to create some thing positive from it by encouraging positive actions or discouraging unruly behaviors. Who knew this would lead up to his up and coming successes as the writer and producer of the novel and movie “Sex Money & You Already Know. With all the messages he had to give, he then began looking for ways to express what he was literally delivering and embarked on an acting career. He featured in movies such as “Don’t Blink (Everything Green Ent.) Ghost Writer (Mike Mass Productions), he stared in the music video “LOVE” by R&B artist Takiyah Diamond as well as other videos keeping him focused, and on the path. Though Mr. Johnson has come across many endeavors that has heightened his success in the entertainment industry, he is choosing to build an empire that will consist of many more successful films, looking forward to writing stage plays, and has already began the sequel to his current novel Sex Money & You Already Know. It’s no surprise how his dark past is sure to be the light to his “bright future.”
