It's a family affair!
This DVD consists of twelve short music videos, each one an illustration/enactment of a well known folk song as adapted and performed by the San Francisco Bay Area's "Familia Pena-Govea." La Familia Pena-Govea includes
multi-instrumentalist renowned musician Miguel Govea (father), educator and artist Susan Pena (mother), and their two daughters, Rene and Cecilia. Each video includes labels or subtitles to support language acquisition. Seven of the twelve songs are in Spanish, two in English, and three in both Spanish and English. Illustrations by Susan Pena are rendered in plasticine, pastel, watercolor, gouche, felt, papel picado, puppetry, and dance, making for a varied, colorful, and upbeat experience, to match the upbeat and lively music. An associated Teacher's Manual and printable lyric sheets are available for free at www.susanpena.com. Great for parents, children, and educators.
