Synopsis

The video highlights business owners as they share their stories but they also impart knowledge on what it takes to run and operate a successful business as a minority individual. This video goes in deep to the root cause of success and failure relating to minority businesses. Other guest interviewed include activists, professors of black studies, historians etc. On the surface its about black business but underneath it is about building strong communities, raising the youth to be confident, and uprooting all the negative behaviors, stereotypes and feelings of inferiority.  This video provides awareness, education and enlightenment.

Director: Stephon J. Davis | bio
His first experience in video was at the age of 16 when he completed a two year vocational program that taught him everything related to Television and Radio Production. Soon after that he enrolled at Tri-C where he studied video but also learned all that he could in many areas. He took an acting class, marketing classes and received a real estate license. Leaving Tri-C he went on to Graduate from The Ohio Center for Broadcasting in 2003. Stephon found work right away, he landed a job at a Television station in Amherst, Ohio. There he learned to direct, produce, shoot camera and edit using linear programs. While working various jobs Stephon stayed busier than most by starting his own production company and providing various clients with video footage. From weddings to sports to commercials to concerts; Stephon has done it all. Stephon worked at a multimedia corporation as an editor and then he worked at Word City TV, the production facility of The Word Church. Stephon has been hired as Director of Photography for two feature length films he co-directed and edited a feature film, and he edited a another feature film.
He has directed several local commercials an instructional video and three music videos.
Stephon produced a Television pilot that is currently being reviewed by several companies such as A&E and just directed, produced, scored, filmed, edited and co-wrote a short film titled “Appearances.” He is currently attending He is passionate about video and film because of the creativity and expression it gives you. Stephon produces films, documentaries and special interest videos that focus on inspiring and educating viewers.
