Synopsis

In this video, studio potter Kristen Kieffer demonstrates her favorite and signature decoration techniques as she has done in dozens of workshops across the U.S. The techniques demonstrated include stamp-making and stamping (done at a stage Kristen refers to as “suede”); wet slip techniques such as slip-trailing, slip-sponging, and paper resist; as well as subtractive techniques like Mishima and water-etching. Eleven different techniques are covered.
