Cast

• Calvin: Christopher Bolla | bio

  Chris has extensive stage experience, portraying such characters as Barnaby Tucker in "Hello Dolly" and Mr. Darcy in "Pride and Prejudice", even playing the post-op Jan in the musical "Sex Change", produced by the short-lived theatre troupe, Future Waiters of America.

  The pursuit of his degree at the University of North Florida has taken him abroad to China, where he had the pleasure of appearing onscreen for a television soap opera. He was also able to appear in the HBO Films production of RECOUNT.

  His passion for acting has also driven him—in order to better help him understand dialog—to explore play- and screenwriting.

  Chris makes his feature film debut as a major character in CHIAROSCURO, BABY.

• Nancy: Christianna L. White | bio

  After attending the University of Richmond Governor's School for Visual and Performing Arts in Virginia, she returned to her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, teaching theatre at local elementary schools, ultimately leading to the opening of her own Fairytale Theatre at Boleros's.

  She began her screen career when cast as Liz in LOYALTY, a short film produced in Jacksonville. Since, she has performed onstage as Greta in "Gats in Hats" with Pulp Fiction Theatre and Justine Justice in "Walking Through Fires", and in minor roles onscreen in TOMORROW MOURNING, AUTOMATON TRANSFUSION, THE GAINESVILLE RIPPER, and BLONDE THING.

  CHIAROSCURO, BABY marks Christianna's first significant role onscreen.

• Marjorie: Milan Alley | bio

  Milan trained at the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts under such instructors as Simone Aden, Michael Higgins, and Dr. Lee Beger. She's served as stage manager and assistant director for several productions and readings, working with the likes of Kathy Bates, Jane Fonda, Miriam Seldes, and Kerry Washington.

  Her stage roles have run the gamut, having played Mrs. Harriet Doyle in "Annie Warbucks", Dr. Rasmussen T. Finnsdale in "Lil' Abner", Friar John in "Romeo & Juliet", and Sylvie Houser in "Move Over, Mrs. Markham" with the Tallahassee Little Theatre—not to mention her recent portrayal of Columbia in "The Rocky Horror Show" with the Limelight Theatre in Saint Augustine, Florida.

  Milan makes her screen debut in CHIAROSCURO, BABY.

Crew

• Director: Anthony Kilburn | bio

  Anthony studied film at the Motion Picture Institute of Michigan in Birmingham, Michigan, under Kurt Mayry, Douglas Schultze, and Joshua Bowren, writing the short film SALVATION IN F, and lending minor, uncredited assistance on the film DARK HEAVEN.

  After a brief venture into music, he moved to Jacksonville, Florida, making his return to film by penning the short film PRESENT and serving as acting coach throughout its principal photography. More recently, he filled several key roles in the feature film version of WALKING THROUGH FIRES, from credited positions as assistant director, story consultant, editor, and acting in a minor role, to the uncredited role of acting coach for the principal actors.

  Anthony was also the co-writer and director of the short film DISPOSABLE, which he produced through KillaCozzy Productions.

• Director of Photography: Halina Lubczanska | bio

  A native of Poland, Halina began her career as a hairstylist in south Florida. After moving to Jacksonville, she began to study photography, and ever since, she's done freelance work around town for everything from weddings to personal portraiture, and of course, her own artistic prints.

  A woman of many talents, she's also acted in several one-act plays, served as propmistress on the short film PRESENT, and performed several uncredited behind-the-scenes roles on the feature film WALKING THROUGH FIRES. Halina also served as director of photography for DISPOSABLE with KillaCozzy Productions. She's currently finishing her Bachelor's Degree in photography at the University of North Florida under Dominick Martorelli and continuing her work as a haristylist.

• Co-Director: Anthony Brooks | bio

  Coming to Jacksonville, Florida, by way of Sigonella, Sicily, Anthony entered the world of motion pictures already with an Associate's Degree in business, working as an intern for Hickox Productions, run by the Emmy-Award winning Brian Hickox, and later, 21st Century Studios, run by Carlos Rodriguez.

  Through networks established while studying film at Jacksonville University, he's had the opportunity to shoot fashion shows, commercials for local clothing companies, several music videos, and even a few television pilots, as of late. And in his short career in motion pictures, he's already received honors: the JU Excellence in Film Award 2008. He even appeared in HBO's RECOUNT.

  Anthony wrote and directed the short film PRESS and well as co-directing DISPOSABLE.

• Line Producer: Kirsten Walsh | bio

  Kirsten began her career in theatre, attending the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in music, concentrating in percussion. She has been a House Manager at the UNF Fine Arts Center for years, serving as backstage technician and helping the front of the house. There, she's worked with such acts as BIG BAD VOODOO DADDY, the Russian Ice Ballet, and THE CAPITOL STEPS.

  After some work on the HBO film RECOUNT, she found her calling: production management. She works constantly, finding many local short and experimental films that need her organizational skills and familiarity with motion picture recordkeeping.

  Kirsten was also the production manager for DISPOSABLE.

• Production Company: KillaCozzy Productions | bio

  KillaCozzy Productions is a Jacksonville, Florida-based motion picture production company that prides itself on the art of the cinema in such a way that creativity permeates every part of the filmmaking process.

  Founded in 2008 by Halina Lubczanska and Anthony Kilburn, KCP is based on the idea that "film is art", working only with the most intrepid artisans, artists, and actors to create works that surpass the everyday fare moviegoers have come to expect.

  KCP has completed one short film, DISPOSABLE, and hosted the red carpet, black tie premiere for its first feature film, CHIAROSCURO, BABY, on November 4th, 2009, at the historic Florida Theatre in Jacksonville.
