  Daniel McNicoll’s first hit documentary film, Reclaiming the Blade featured critically acclaimed actors: Viggo Mortensen (Lord of the Rings, History of Violence) Karl Urban (JJ Abraham’s new Star Trek, Borne Supremacy), Bob Anderson (Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean), John Waller (Robin Hood, First Knight) and John Rhys-Davies (Indian Jones, Lord of the Rings). It was produced with the support of Peter Jackson, Weta Workshop and The Royal Armouries.

  Currently he is teaming up with award winning director David Mickey Evans (Radio Flier, Sandlot) to produce the long overdue epic Glastonbury: Isle of Light. Evan’s who has directed multiple films for Universal and Warner Bros., joins an already experienced team of production talent including Lord of the Rings and Chronicles of Narnia illustrator John Howe and Weta Workshop director Richard Taylor (Halo, X-Men).

  McNicoll's voice talents may be heard on the #1 award winning audio Bible, Word of Promise , staring Sean Astin, Michael York, Jon Voight and Richard Dreyfuss, among many others Hollywood celebrities. Experience in the music industry while at BMI and a number of independent record labels has given Daniel a unique perspective as a film director and producer, enabling him to explore the convergence of music and film. In New York City as a solo artist he was accepted into the CMJ Music Marathon two straight years. As a screenwriter Daniel has equally proven his talents. The LA-based ScriptShark has described his writing as both “original and engaging with strong market value”. While finding inspiration during the filmmaking and writing process, he has discovered the true advantage of allowing music to help tell the story.

  Daniel McNicoll is currently directing a new documentary on the Keysi Fighting Method (KFM) as seen in the films Batman Begins, Dark Knight and MI3. Daniel is the founder and president of Galatia Films, LLC.

  A passion for images began early for Erica Black. Starting out in college, she pursued a degree in photography specializing in hand-processed black and white images at The University of the South, Sewanee, but soon was drawn into the exciting world of collaborative film making. Working as a set production assistant on several Hollywood movies and network TV shows, she quickly realized that she was largely drawn to the camera department.

  Later at the University of Colorado Boulder’s Film program, Erica studied under art-film masters such as Stan Brakhage, Phil Solomon and documentary film maker Ilisa Barbage. Erica received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production from UC-Boulder. Continuing her education Erica later completed a Masters Degree in Graphic Communications from Clemson University.

  Having originally learned cinematography on super-8 and Bolex 16mm cameras, Erica was still able to quickly make the the transition to HD and miniDV for Reclaiming the Blade. One unique aspect as Director of Photography on Reclaiming the Blade, Erica managed an international project that often times included multiple cinematographers and camera crews from around the globe. This highly sophisticated role allowed her to explore all the avenues of DP management while working with the amazing international cinematographers featured in this film.
