• Lita's Dad: Kevin Skousen | bio

  Kevin has appeared in films, Hand that Rocks the Cradle, LA
  Confidential, Off The Map, and Suspect Zero. His diverse
  television work includes Dharma & Greg, Melrose Place, and
  Quantum Leap. On Broadway he has performed in Talkradio, and
  Highest Standard of Living.

• Sam: Brian Franklin | bio

  Brian "Lee" Franklin was born and raised in Andalusia, Alabama. He attended Tallahassee Community College, where he majored in Forensic Psychology. He spent the summer after graduation in New York, where he quickly landed a role in the CBS miniseries Sally Hemings, playing the illegitimate slave-son of Thomas Jefferson (adeptly played by Sam Neill). Brian then took a voluntary leave of absence from the film and television world to ensconce himself in the New York theater scene. Over the course of the next three years, Brian exclusively wrote, produced, directed, and acted in the theater, involving himself in some twelve productions. He then relocated to L.A., where he met the director, Trevor Hoff. Brian is also a lifetime member of the Actor's Studio.

• Al: Matt Mitchell | bio

  Matt hails from Miami, Florida. He attended the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center in Connecticut, and then spent a summer at the Flat Rock Playhouse in North Carolina. Upon returning to Florida, he worked around the state doing regional theatre in various plays (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Grease, Greater Tuna, Love, Sex, and the IRS, Fiddler On the Roof and many more), Independent films (Love and Pancakes, Withdrawal, Southbound), and various roles at Universal Studios Florida. Since moving to Los Angeles, Matt’s independent film credits include J, Bitter Holdup, Alien Abduction, and the recently completed Know Your Enemy, as well as a few commercials tossed into the mix.

• Becca: Faye Allen | bio

  Faye was born in Denver, Colorado. She earned an BA in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Denver. Faye was introduced to the entertainment industry while interning for a local talent and modeling agency. She was an agent's assistant who soon found herself being sent on auditions herself. She started booking local commercials, print and industrial jobs. Shortly after, she relocated to Los Angeles to further pursue her career in acting. Within four months of living in L.A. she landed her first lead role in an independent film One Lucky Day. Following that project, Faye booked additional smaller roles soon leading up to her role as "Becca" in Descension.

• Lita: Heather Child | bio

  Heather Child hails from Arlington, Texas. She earned a BA in Theatre from Northwestern State University and has been honing her craft ever since. After college, Heather embarked on several theatrical tours and residential theatres across the country such as; The Warehouse Theatre, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Shakespeare Fest of Arkansas, and Granbury Opera House. She has had the pleasure of studying with Shakespeare & Co. in Massachusetts and working with such gifted directors as David Rambo and Trevor Hoff. She now resides in L.A. where she is pursuing film and television. Heather can be seen in the short films Harlem Tragedy, J –town and in various commercials. Some of her favorite theatrical roles include: Effie in The Countess, Nora in A Doll’s House, and LuAnn in Texas Trilogy.

• Detective Malone: Alan Natale | bio

  Alan Natale is a versatile character actor with an astonishing range of ability. Whether performing the role of a dashing Shakespearian womanizer, a tortured refugee, or a gay comedic hustler, Alan portrays his characters with great passion and breadth, performing the Classics to brave new works on stage, and in shorts and features. Alan's interpretation, be it scripted or improvised, is solidly based on character, story and active listening.

• Roberto: Matt Amar | bio

  Matt Amar - Grew up in El Centro, California. His first introduction to acting was when he was chosen by Director, Kevin J. Dobson to do a featured background part in the TV series Acapulco Heat while vacationing with friends on his High School Senior trip in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The experience motivated him to pursue further opportunities in acting. He later went on to perform on stage, film and TV. He lived in New York City and studied acting at The Actors Studio. One of his most memorable moments was auditioning for Ellen Burstyn, Mark Rydell, Sydney Lumet and Martin Landau.

• Dr. Ash: Malcolm Bennett | bio

  Malcolm came to L.A. via Portland Oregon where he spent many a night on stages in tiny dank theatres banging out low budget yet gritty productions of such classics as Fool For Love, 12 Angry Men, and The Prettiest Girl In the County dreaming of the day he would make the big time in Hollywood. He spent his early years in L.A. toiling through parts in infomercials, background work, voiceover work and independent films (Jacqueline Hyde and Corpses). Malcolm credits life experience as much as professional training for getting him to this high point in his career citing his years in radio on-air and production work, being voted "class clown" and living out of the back of his car for six months as a young man as examples

• Producer: Carla M. Polkinhorn | bio

  Carla attended Tufts University in MA and earned a BA in International Relations and Drama. While attending Tufts she produced and directed various plays and co-starred in a production of Jean Genet's "The Maids." After Tufts she earned a JD at UWLA Law School in Los Angeles, CA, and currently practices law in California. After UWLA she attended LACC Film School for one year and in 2005 began writing " Descension" which was her first feature length film. Carla has also produced "Looking For Lenny," a documentary and biography about the legendary comedian Lenny Bruce. She is currently working with writer/director Craig Serling on the feature film "The Divide" and on her next two feature length films "The Disappearing Act" and "The Reflections".

• Director: Trevor Hoff | bio

  In directing Descension, Trevor was able to pull from his experience as a commercial director and put it to use in long form for the first time. Trevor parlayed his success from a pair of music videos for Capitol Records last year into a relationship with Borderline Films.
  After graduating from the Seattle Film Institute and a receiving a broadcasting degree from Seattle University, Trevor came to Hollywood and spent a year screening his first short film Pendemonium in film festivals around the world. The film won several awards including first and second prize at the Brainwash Film Festival in San Francisco.

  Trevor began directing commercials in 2001 for clients such as Coleman, Meridian Vineyards, and Bass Ale for which he has won two Telly Awards. He has also directed TV segments for NBC and FOX Sports.

• Director of Photography: Alvarez Wortham | bio

  Alvarez has written, directed and/or photographed several shorts, including A Gentle Nightmare, which was recently selected for the 2005 Hi Lo Film Festival and the 2005 Playhouse West Film Festival. He recently was director of photography for a short film, The Militant, written and directed by Matt Kovalikides and produced the television pilot, A Midsummer Night’s Rewrite. Alvarez is currently working on his next short and writing a feature length film script.
  

• Picture Editor: Bruce Novotny | bio

  Educated at the Universities of Notre Dame and Cambridge, Bruce spent six years as staff editor at Goddard Claussen Porter Novelli, a nationally renowned political ad agency and production company. While there he cut award-winning commercials in groundbreaking national campaigns for China trade, health care, and education, as well as state-wide campaigns in Oregon, Washington, New Jersey and California, including spots featuring the last three governors of California. Bruce also carries experience in documentary, reality, industrial and feature films including The Virgin of Juarez.
